Dear Parents and Swimmers,
It is truly hard to believe that there are only a few more days left until the biggest meet of the year. I cannot express how proud I am of all of the sectional swimmers for what they were able to do last Saturday whether it was getting a lifetime best or qualifying for the state meet. Saturday proved to me yet again why this sport is so electrifying, nerve-wracking, and overall empowering. Watching the girls accomplish such lofty goals was an amazing experience and one that I will savor for a long time to come. With that said, I also think it taught a great deal about how small mistakes can derail an entire season of work and that having the wrong mentality can keep individuals from performing in ways they are physical prepared to. Thus, please encourage your swimmers as much as possible. I believe that we still do have some time we can drop and by putting an emphasis on the small details we can do just that. There is no doubt that state is a stressful meet but with the right mental attitude and plan we can ensure two swims on Saturday. With that in mind here are a few bullets regarding the next few days.
Dear ATWB Parents and Swimmers,
We are officially 4 days away from what is shaping up to be a fantastic Sectional meet. The sectional team is beginning to round into form and each day the excitement builds more and more regarding what this group will be able to do with their tapers. And while I realize that not everyone I am sending this to is swimming or has a swimmer in the meet, it is my hope that all of you are there to support ATWB and be as loud as possible!!!
With that said, here are a few nuggets and tidbits regarding this week/Saturday.
Lastly, we have yet to plan a date for the team banquet. It will likely be the week after Thanksgiving but more to come on that once we have concluded the season.
Thank you all for your support throughout the year and Go ATWB!!!
